This week you may be expecting some mouth-watering recipe; however, I.am.a.bit.tired.of.food…at the moment… {you won’t hear me say that often!}. We’ve eaten a lot and it’s been DELICIOUS…but I don’t feel like cooking right now and there is a chance you’ve seen enough of your kitchen too! In fact, heating up leftovers even sounds like a chore at the moment.
So the holidays are winding down…depending on what you celebrate, you may have a clean house right now or it may look like a tornado went through. guests. gifts. decorations. busy schedules attending festivities. being pulled in too many directions. laundry clearly hasn’t been done.
You may have woken up today and really don’t know where to start. I know there are some of you weird people out there that love to clean or find laundry therapeutic…we’re probably not friends. I don’t like it, so thank goodness I have three teenage minions that attend to a rotating schedule to help mom keep the house somewhat clean. I figure it helps build character and life skills in them!
So regardless of what your house looks like, your enthusiasm level when it comes to cleaning, if you have little helpers or paid help or no help… truth be told, it’s gotta get done and it’s best to avoid the store bought chemical cleaners. They do nothing positive for our environment or our health and they cost too much.
DIY cleaning supplies are ridiculously fast & easy to make and cheap to boot! Using common household ingredients and a few drops of essential oils to pack some superhero powers in to the dust, soap scum, dirt, sticky counter tops, fingerprints and ring around the toilet bowl that have taken over your home, you can restore cleanliness to your home lickety split!
